This Privacy Policy explains how Market Correct LLC ("Market Correct," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit mrktcorrect.com (the "Site"), subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us. It also explains your rights and how to exercise them.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you've read this Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with it, stop using the Site.
This policy doesn't cover third-party websites we link to, including the vendors and retailers we review. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before you share anything with them.
1. Who We Are
Market Correct LLC publishes Correct Opinions, an editorial site of reviews, verdicts, and guides about marketing tools, software, and hardware, at mrktcorrect.com. The Site earns money from affiliate commissions and from advertising. For purposes of applicable data protection laws, Market Correct LLC is the data controller of personal information collected through the Site.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Give Us
You give us information when you choose to. This includes:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message. The form is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our inbox.
- Newsletter signup. Your email address, collected and stored by beehiiv, our email platform.
- Email. Anything you send us directly by email.
We don't ask for and don't want sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information. Please don't send it to us.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we collect technical information automatically when you visit:
- Usage data such as pages visited, time on page, links and buttons clicked (including affiliate links), scroll depth, referring URL, and the path you take through the Site
- Device and browser data including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen size, language, and device type
- Approximate location at the city or region level, inferred from your IP address. We don't collect precise GPS location
- Performance data such as page load timing and browser console errors, used to find broken pages
This data is collected by the tools listed in Section 6. We don't use session replay tools that record your screen, and we don't capture what you type into forms before you submit them.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
Affiliate programs and networks report back to us when a click from the Site leads to a purchase or signup, so they can calculate a commission. Those reports tell us the click happened and the amount earned. They don't tell us who you are. Our advertising and analytics partners also provide aggregate data about traffic and ad performance.

We don't sell your personal information for money. We don't use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
For visitors in jurisdictions that require a lawful basis for processing (including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), we rely on:
- Consent for advertising cookies, personalized ads, and the newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time through the consent manager on the Site or the unsubscribe link in any email
- Legitimate interests for measuring and improving the Site, tracking affiliate clicks, and preventing fraud, where those interests aren't overridden by your rights
- Contractual necessity when you ask us to do something, such as reply to a message
- Legal obligation when the law requires us to process or retain information
5. How We Share Your Information
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We share information only as described below.
5.1 Service Providers
We use a small number of vendors to run the Site. They're authorized to use your information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the Site and provides security and performance services
- Web3Forms processes contact form submissions
- beehiiv stores newsletter subscriptions and sends our emails
- Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager) provides site analytics
- PostHog provides site analytics and affiliate click tracking
- Lasso tracks affiliate link clicks and performance
- Meta (Meta Pixel) measures traffic from and to Facebook and Instagram
5.2 Advertising Partners
Mediavine and the advertising partners it works with collect data through cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads on the Site. Section 7 describes this in full, including how to opt out. Under California law, this kind of disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising counts as "sharing." See Section 12.
5.3 Affiliate Partners
When you click an affiliate link, the destination site and its affiliate network learn that you came from mrktcorrect.com, which page you were on, and when you clicked. That's what lets them credit a commission to us. We don't send them your name or email.
5.4 Business Transfers
If Market Correct is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or reorganization, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll post notice on the Site before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
5.5 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that it's necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Market Correct or others, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or to enforce our Terms of Use.
5.6 With Your Consent
We may share your information in other circumstances when you've given us explicit permission.
6. Third-Party Tools on the Site
Here's what runs on the Site and why:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measures how visitors use the Site, including pages visited, time on site, and traffic sources. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) loads GA4 and other tags. GTM itself doesn't collect personal data.
- PostHog is a product analytics tool that records page views, clicks (including affiliate link clicks), scroll depth, page performance, and browser console errors. Requests are routed through a first-party relay on our own domain. Session replay is turned off. We use this data to see which reviews get read and which links get clicked.
- Meta Pixel records page views and sends them to Meta so we can measure how visitors who arrive from Facebook or Instagram use the Site. Meta may use this data as described in its own privacy policy. You can control this through your Facebook Ad Preferences.
- Lasso is an affiliate link management tool. It records when an affiliate link on the Site is clicked so we can measure performance across partners.
- Mediavine serves the ads on the Site. See Section 7.
- Affiliate programs. Links in our reviews participate in affiliate programs run by the companies we review and by affiliate networks acting for them. When you click one of these links, the program may set a cookie on your device that records the referral and any later purchase. Each program's own privacy policy governs what it does with that data.
- Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate, Market Correct earns from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon carry our Associates tracking ID. Amazon's use of your data is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
- beehiiv hosts the newsletter signup form and sends our emails. It may record opens and clicks in those emails.
- Web3Forms receives what you submit through the contact form and forwards it to us.
7. Mediavine Advertising
The Site works with Mediavine to serve and manage advertising. The following language is required by Mediavine and applies to the Site.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a "device") by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, "Tags") may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser's cache. The "help" feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser's cache. Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor's referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
8.1 What We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Site to function and to remember your consent choices. They can't be disabled.
- Analytics cookies from GA4 and PostHog help us understand traffic and usage. They aren't required for the Site to work.
- Advertising cookies are set by Mediavine, its partners, and Meta to serve, personalize, and measure ads. Where the law requires it, these are set only after you consent.
- Affiliate cookies are set by affiliate programs and networks when you click an affiliate link. They record that the referral came from Market Correct and usually persist for 24 hours to 90 days depending on the program.
8.2 Your Cookie Choices
Visitors in regions where consent is required see a consent manager when they first visit the Site. You can change your choices at any time through that consent manager. Everyone can control cookies through their browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
To opt out of interest-based advertising, use the links in Section 7, visit Google Ad Settings, or adjust your Facebook Ad Preferences.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes in this policy or as required by law:
- Contact form submissions and email are kept for up to 24 months from the date received, unless you ask us to delete them sooner
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which beehiiv retains a suppression record so we don't email you again
- GA4 analytics data is retained for 2 months for event-level data and 14 months for user-level data, as configured in our GA4 property
- PostHog and Lasso analytics data is retained according to each vendor's standard retention
- Client records, where a written client engagement exists, are kept for at least 5 years after the engagement ends to meet legal and contractual obligations
- Legal hold data may be kept longer where litigation, regulatory investigation, or court order requires it
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS on every page, limiting access to personal data to the people who need it, and using reputable vendors with their own security programs.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, contact us right away through the contact page.
If a data breach affects your rights or freedoms, we'll notify you and any applicable regulators as required by law.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. Wherever you live, we'll do our best to honor reasonable requests.
- Access. Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- Correction. Ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your personal information, unless we're legally required to keep it
- Portability. Get a copy of your information in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection and restriction. Object to or ask us to limit processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent. Change your cookie choices through the consent manager, or unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page or at legal@mrktcorrect.com. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and in some cases we may have a lawful reason to decline, in which case we'll explain why.
12. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights.
12.1 Categories of Personal Information Collected
In the preceding 12 months, we've collected these categories of personal information as defined under the CCPA:
- Identifiers such as name, email address, and IP address
- Internet or network activity, including pages viewed, links clicked, and interactions with ads on the Site
- Geolocation data at the approximate city or region level, inferred from IP address
- Commercial information limited to whether a click on an affiliate link resulted in a purchase, as reported to us in aggregate by affiliate programs
12.2 Sale and Sharing
We don't sell personal information for money. We do "share" personal information as the CPRA defines that term: advertising cookies and pixels on the Site let Mediavine's partners and Meta collect internet activity and identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories shared are identifiers, internet activity, and approximate geolocation.
You can opt out of sharing at any time by rejecting advertising cookies in the consent manager on the Site, by using the opt-out links in Sections 7 and 8, or by turning on the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we treat as a request to opt out. We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
12.3 Your California Rights
- Know what personal information we've collected about you and how it's been used, disclosed, or shared
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don't collect sensitive personal information as the CPRA defines it)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To submit a CCPA request, contact us through the contact page or at legal@mrktcorrect.com. We'll acknowledge receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why, up to one additional 45-day extension. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us through the contact page and we'll delete it.
14. International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you acknowledge this transfer.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland and believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
15. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There's no universal standard for how websites should respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, so the Site doesn't change its data collection in response to them. The Site does treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as described in Section 12. You can also manage tracking through the consent manager, your browser's cookie settings, and the opt-out links in Sections 7 and 8.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, the tools we use, or the law. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also post a notice on the Site or email newsletter subscribers.
Your continued use of the Site after an update is posted means you accept the revised policy.
